  1. The Chief Minister of Tamilnadu J.Jayalalithaa on Friday (31.07.2015) instituted an award in the name of former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam and announced that his birthday, October 12, would be observed as YOUTH AWAKING DAY. The award of Rs.5 Lakh, the certificate of appreciation and an 8 gm gold medal, will be given to a person who strives to promote the growth of Science, humanities and welfare of students. The award will be presented from this year on Independence Day.
  2. India and Bangaladesh Exchange their respective enclave on 31.07.2015. (The exchange for 51 Bangladesh enclaves in Indian Territory and 111 Indian enclaves in Bangaladesh territory. Indian transferred  17,158 acres to Bangladesh and turn received 7,110 acres.
  3. 24,771 dowry deaths have been reported in the country in last three years 2012 -2014. With 7048 deaths in Uttar Pradesh witnessed the maximum number of dowry deaths, Second one Bihar in 3830 deaths and Third one Madhya Pradesh in 2252 death.
